PILOTING TO VICTORY
Ken has captured the 10th Annual Bowl Pickin's contest with Florida's victory over Ohio State in the BCS Championship Monday night! Ken, who stayed near the top of the leader board through this year's contest, never led until the very last game. By picking the last five games correctly, Ken surpassed Mikyle and Kris to take the coveted spoils for the second time since the 2001-2002 season.
Congratulations to Fly Boy, Ken!
Final standings can be viewed by clicking here. Thanks to all who participated in this year's contest to make it the biggest one yet.
THEY CALL HIM "THE STREAK"
Kris' bowl hot streak, which sent him into a first place tie, ended at a record seventeen consecutive correctly picked games with Ohio's loss to Southern Mississippi. Congratulations to Kris on the pickin's streak.
RETURN OF THE DOG?
During the 1980's, Dad was known for being the family champion of a video game called Fishing Derby when Atari was big.
Under the moniker, "The Dog", Dad took on all challengers and outfished the competition. With the best start in the history of Bowl Pickins, rumor has it that "The Dog" has returned. One flea The Dog must beware of: no Pickin's participant has ever led start to finish. Stay tuned for further details...
THE SEARCH FOR THE TROPHY
Ann on quest for "Bowl Pickin's justice"
Pledging that it is her mission to "find that trophy, one way or another," Aunt Ann is ready to take aim at the Bowl Pickin's title with a championship repeat. She also assures swift justice to those who would hide what is "rightfully mine."
Grant and Meredith announced their entrance into the Bowl Pickin's contest Sunday. Both did not receive assistance from the Commissioner in picking their winners, and promised not to rub it in too much if they finish ahead of him or their mother.
Their entries sets an all new Bowl Pickins record for number of contestants, pushing the total to fifteen.
MESSAGE BOARD MANIA!
To celebrate ten years even more, a message board is now up and running on Google for everyone to discuss Bowl Pickin' activity. Ingeniously titled "Bowl Pickin's Message Board", invitations have already been submitted to participants. If you did not receive yours, check your spam folder to see if it was sent there by accident. If not, then e-mail me. Thanks to Scott for the nifty idea!

Former champ: "One phrase shall haunt all Bowl Pickin's participants: 'Out of retirement!'"
BOWLPICKINS.COM has confirmed that former Bowl Pickin's champion Scott will be entering the 10th annual contest. Scott's submitted picks marks the return after a seven-year hiatus when he retired as the defending Bowl Pickin's champion. He holds the unofficial record for fewest losses and longest game-winning streak, but records for that contest were lost.
Congratulations to the happy couple, Steve and Michelle, on their marriage! We love you very much and wish you a lifetime of joy and happiness! You can view the Bowl Pickin's Special Edition Newlywed Page by clicking here.
The Bowl Pickin's History page has been updated with Year Five pictures. Thanks to Karen, Mom and Dad for recovering a lot of these pictures! Click here to go back in time...
CONTROVERSY TAINTS 9TH ANNUAL BOWL PICKIN'S CONTEST
Allegations of Illegal Participation, Multiple Winners and Strong Arming Commissioner Promised to be Examined...Sometime
In one of the closest finishes ever, Ann won the 2005-2006 Bowl Pickin's contest. The prized trophy and hat were to make their way to Ohio for the first time as Ann broke through a Hudson deadlock to win the coveted title. However, no delivery was made.
Shortly after the contest, BOWLPICKINS.COM learned that an informal protest was filed with the commissioner about the winner's eligibility. Furthermore, the participant and cohort allegedly attempted to rally others in an effort to discredit Ann from being the winner.
BOWLPICKINS.COM has obtained photos of what appear to be the prizes located in a basement. Click here to view.
